Golden Opportunity Fund

As we know, our town shelters are overflowing with homeless cats and dogs every day.  Removing any animal from that plight is rewarding!   Doing so for an older cat or for one who has special needs can be one of the more satisfying experiences of a lifetime.

No animal likes to be in a cage, alone and without companionship.  Animals who are older, and those who are otherwise challenged, tend to suffer more due to the stress of a major life-change at a time when their bodies are not as strong and their sensitivities high.  Many suffer physical pains and ailments that go untreated because they receive minimal human contact and, with the inability to speak,  they cannot tell anyone what hurts.  Most of them suffer broken hearts due to the losses they have endured, having once been someone’s beloved pet and now finding themselves alone in a cage in a strange place. Many languish in shelter cages for months, and even years, because most people look to adopt younger, more "perfect" pets.   We aim to change this.

Our goal with our Golden Opportunity Fund is to continuously raise much-needed funding so that we can continue to take beautiful seniors and special-needs cats out of the shelters and give them the medical attention anc care that they deserve and the comfort of the forever-homes they crave.  Please DONATE NOW  to this amazing program. and scroll down to see some of the wonderful cats who are our Golden Opportunity Fund inspiration.

"Special needs" cats come in all different packages with one thing in common: they all want and need a home just as much as any other cat out there. Whether they are older, have health issues, have special diets, need to be in only-cat households, are black or black & white, are FIV+, or have just gone overlooked for no particular reason, every single one of them deserves to find that special person who will cherish them and provide them with a loving, forever home. If you're interested in opening your heart and your home to a Golden Opportunity cat, please do not hesitate to email us at goldenpawsociety@gmail.com for a list of available Golden Opportunity cats, and to discuss which one could be the perfect match for your household.
